With a career spanning over a decade, fashion guru Georgia Alexia Benjou remains someone to watch. Her work ranges from fashion styling for print media and advertising campaigns to creative concept for editorials. An accredited member of the press by 7th on Sixth, Benjou's New York City connections run deep, having worked over eight years in the Big Apple as a national buyer and merchandiser for top luxury and designer houses including Hermes, Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Dior and Chanel. Benjou not only styles high fashion editorials, but also writes about international fashion trends, topics and designers - all in extremely lavish fashion by breaking all the rules.
Although fashion has been her passion since high school, Benjou's background in the arts both complements and influences much of her work. The Denver-based stylist can easily spot the season's top trends and also make sense of all the fashion hoopla. With an undergraduate degree in English Literature, Benjou's interest in the visual arts extends to drawing and photography, as well as having completed postgraduate work in art history, with an emphasis in Italian Renaissance painting and sculpture.
Benjou's extensive fashion expertise includes styling for print, film and runway, as well as coordinating crew for shoots, editing designer product lines and personal wardrobing for a limited clientele. Her styling and written work has been featured in 5280 Magazine, the Denver regional publication for which she is the contributing fashion editor and magazine stylist, as well as Shape, Brentwood, InSync, and Robb Report.
