Do you need Media Training?

A few years ago, I was taken by surprise while conducting an interview with a storeowner. Although I was interviewing her about a recent trip to Paris, our conversation took a tangent into the state of fashion, especially with regards to advertising and media. Out of nowhere, the lovely PR who was on standby suddenly asked if I gave media trainings.

The truth is, it never even occurred to me to give my insights as an editor to PR agencies.

Fast-forward 3-1/2 weeks later, and I was presenting my first ever media training to her company (yes, just before the entire country went into self-isolation mode for the coronavirus!).

The training was as insightful for me as for the agency. We discussed everything from the current media landscape to local media outlets, influencers, the elements I look for in a pitch, how to craft a good pitch, and even brand events. We covered a lot of ground in the two hours that we met!

So if you’re a PR professional or an agency owner who oversees fashion and beauty clients and are interested in chatting with me regarding media training, please reach out. I’m more than happy to customize my content to your needs, and we can conduct these meetings in-person or via Zoom. The increasingly disrupted media environment has made contacting editors more difficult than ever, which is why it makes sense to chat with an insider about what we’re looking for and the most effective ways to reach us.
