Colorado Ballet

I’ve worked with the Colorado Ballet once before - back in 2019, when I styled a few of the dancers for a Denver Life fashion feature - so I was thrilled when they asked if I would style 13 men and women from the company for a Fall 2021 advertising / social campaign.

I love working with dancers, though they come with a special set of challenges for a stylist - the main one, of course, being how a dancer can move in the clothing we put them in. Which is kind of ironic, considering one of the main reasons an editor (or at least this editor) likes seeing a runway show is to watch how the clothing moves coming down a catwalk. But when styling a dancer, they have to really be able to feel free enough to do anything from an attitude to a jeté in regular street clothing.
