The Challenge: Translating Personal Trauma into Visual Art
The subject had recently survived a life-altering accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down. The challenge was to create a fashion feature that didn't shy away from her new reality but rather used it to tell a profound story of her internal state. It required a level of emotional intelligence and trust far beyond a standard editorial brief.
The Solution: Collaborative Vulnerability & Symbolic Curation
Through deep conversation prior to the shoot, I worked with the subject to identify a visual metaphor for her experience: the "broken doll." The key dress we selected emphasized both fragility and a haunting elegance. By aligning the fashion with her specific emotional journey, I ensured the wardrobe served as a medium for her to reclaim her narrative through a lens of raw, honest beauty.
The Result: A Portrait of Resilient Fragility
A series of images that successfully captured the subject’s vulnerability and strength. The project stands as a testament to the power of "Brand Stewardship" in its most human form—protecting and projecting the soul of the subject during a period of intense transition.
